Established in 1948 on the basis of the myth of return and the ideology of Jewish nation-building, the Israeli regime today faces deepening ruptures within its socio-cultural structure. Adopting a foresight-oriented perspective and grounded in Antonio Gramsci’s theory of cultural hegemony, this study seeks to analyze the gradual erosion of this ideological and institutional order. The central question addressed is: what processes have undermined the social and cultural bonds sustaining the Zionist regime, and what prospects might lie ahead for its hegemonic continuity?
Employing a descriptive-analytical method and drawing on library sources, statistical data, and official documents, the study explores key indicators of the declining legitimacy of Zionist discourse—such as the dysfunction of cultural and regulatory institutions, intensifying social polarization, ethnic-religious divisions, reverse migration, and the emergence of post-Zionist narratives. The findings suggest that in the coming decades, the Zionist order is likely to confront a profound crisis of legitimacy and weakening hegemony, potentially leading to the gradual disintegration of its social cohesion and the soft collapse of its legitimizing institutions. This study not only diagnoses current trends of internal erosion but also presents potential scenarios for the future of the Israeli regime within the context of cultural divergence and the decline of ideological hegemony.
